A place like this, truly can’t be described until you see it in real life. My girlfriends and I had researched extensively on things to do or see in the area, and this place easily came in the top five of everyones list.

Fiordo di Furore can be found along the main road that goes along the Amalfi Coast. Due to how narrow the road is, it’s not easily accessbile by vehicle, so most everyone gets dropped off by local transportation, and walks the rest of the way in, walks down the road (also not the safest), or uses a vespa.

One tip I was told by a local- there’s a restaurant right by here called “Ristorante Euroconca”. Here, a few cars are able to park in front of the restaurant. Best practice would be to come sit and have a drink or bite to eat BEFORE you go to Fiordo di Furore, and keep your car in front of thre restaurant while you’re down laying on the pebble beach, or exploring the beautiful turquoise waters. They’re not very strict about this; however, it’s possilbe more people are aware of this strategy now. Worst case sceanario- you can never be “too prepared”.

As you can see from the photo, there are only two ways in. One way, if you’re taking a cruise of the Amalfi coast, or a boat tour, this area is typically on your itinerary as a point of interest to stop at. This would be a great way to get here, but you will be limited on time with this option, so for that reason alone, I highly suggest making your own arrangements to spend as much time here as possible. Second way. is to do what I suggested earlier, and walk in from the top, off the side of the street, down the stone staircase you see in the photo on the right.

Once here, you can pretty much find any area on the beach you want to relax. We went during September, and although this time of year typically draws crowds and tourists, we didn’t feel overwhelmed at all when it came to space and finding a place to put our belongings.

Speaking of belongings- one of the items that helped me survive the most on this trip, was a portable battery bank. This was a LIFE SAVER! Especially for those times when we didn’t want to lug around bulky cable cords, or when we couldn’t find a place to charge our phone at. This one was easily portable and fit into all our small bags, and lasted me two days without charging it!

You’ll thank me later- especially when you need Google maps to help you walk from place to place!

Enjoy your time here and simply BE and relax. To me, you can’t appreciate Italy and be on your phone at the same time, taking a picture of everything you see (because it will be breathtaking), but rather, it’s meant to be absorbed, savored and indulged.

Ciao Bella <3
